Before getting a tattoo make sure the tattoo parlor is clean and safe. Remember, the artist is going to stick the needles into the skin to be picky about the tattoo parlor you choose. The artist must use a brand new, sterile needle with every tattoo. Ask the artist to go through the procedure with you, including all the instruments used and the specific design. If the artist looks annoyed, go somewhere else. All other tools involved must be sterile. Everything must be personally provided only for your tattoo, for example, bottles of single-use disposable cartridges.
The artist should wear latex gloves and apply Vaseline on the new tattoo with a disposable instrument – not by hand! Select the design. Think carefully. Do you love that in one year, five years, ten years? Do not buy a name you want to hide in the coming years. Children and parents’ names are safe. Talk with the artist about how you want the design to look – with the shading and color.
Show them samples and talk to them about color. Even the half dark skin can get color but remember that no matter what your skin tone is, two layers of its own natural (or sun tanned) skin color that covers the finished product. Make sure the skin is in good condition. A few days before the date on which plan on getting your tattoo prepare your skin. Drink lots of water so your skin is well hydrated. Use a good lotion a few times a day. Do not drink alcohol the day before or the day to get their ink as this causes excessive bleeding when getting your tattoo. Not so, or get too much sun before you get ink. Tattoo Removal Methods There are several excellent methods of tattoo removal available today. The method your doctor chooses will depend on the size of the tattoo and its location and the length of time that has been in the skin. * Excision * Dermabrasion * Laser * Salabrasion Whether using the method of tattoo removal, some scarring or color variations are likely to remain. Healing time varies depending on the size and depth of the tattoo, the procedure used and the process of healing.
