Frequently Asked Questions
Acquiring a Power Wheelchair from DuraTech:
Getting Service for my Power Wheelchair from DuraTech:
Q.
What is the difference between a power chair and a scooter?
A. A power chair is an excellent choice for indoor use. It
fits almost anywhere and turns on a dime. The scooter has a handlebar design;
and, while it is slightly larger than a power chair, it is perfect for use
outside the home. Your doctor will determine if a power chair or scooter is best
for you. For more information, please visit our Power Wheelchair and
Scooter pages.

Q. How much does a power chair from DuraTech cost?
A. The purchase of a new power chair or scooter at retail
price can be thousands of dollars, depending on features and specifications.
However, depending on Medicare or your insurance coverage, you may qualify for a
power chair or scooter at little to no cost to you. We will gladly work with
your doctor to identify your mobility needs, coordinate your Medicare or
insurance benefits and determine the best mobility solution for you.
